Hwy 34 Work Progressing

The straightening of a curve and the installation of a concrete box culvert west of Marble Hill

MoDoT work on Hwy 34 is progressing and according to the agencies newsletter (found online by clicking the THIS LINK ) the work should be completed by Summer 2014.  MoDoT states that the work on Hwy 34 in Bollinger County: “grading, paving and realigning several curves from East of Hwy DD to West of Hwy 51 near Marble Hill.  Additionally the bridge over Gimlet Creek will be replaced with a box culvert and shoulders will be installed East of Hwy DD to West of route ZZ near Glen Allen.” MoDoT estimates the total cost of improvements for the project to be $8,388,191 and the contract was awarded to H.R. Quadri Contractors LLC of Van Buren, Mo.
