Remembering Amelia

On Friday April 5th, 2013 Amelia Fisher was killed in a tragic accident on Hwy 34 when a delivery truck crossed the center line and crashed into the vehicle she was a passenger in. I’m not posting pictures of the crash on this online publication, I have a feeling that her parents have seen pictures of the scene far too many times by now.

I have a daughter who is the same age as Amelia. They both attended Woodland High School.

My daughter and Amelia’s classmates will be attending her funeral tomorrow to remember her and say goodbye.

My heart goes out to the Fisher family.

Accidents of this nature have become an annual event on Highway 34. How many more tragic accidents will occur before MoDoT makes good on its promise to improve the road, and save lives in the process?- Editor
